Different support for phone calls It is 44 degrees in Morocco – and the heat is now moving north towards Europe. Record temperatures are expected in several places this weekend.
In France, Spain and parts of the UK, temperatures are expected to be well above normal for the time of year this weekend.
"It is mainly further down in southwestern Europe that people are affected by this," says Lasse Rydqvist.
In areas around London, forecasts point to around 32 degrees – close to the record of 32.8 degrees from 1944.
At the same time, Spain has already reached 38 degrees and in Morocco, where the hot air comes from, the temperature has been up to 44 degrees.
